Welcome to The Ollands.
The house is well situated
in approximately ¾
acre of garden overlooking
farmland. It is reached
via a short loke (Norfolk
word for walk) from the
centre of the village of
Worstead and is within easy
walking distance of the
Post Office, New Inn Public
House and the C14th Church. |
| |
| The accommodation
comprises of three double
rooms. Two rooms are ensuite
and one has its own private
bathroom. One ensuite is situated
on the ground floor and two
of the rooms can be made into
twin beds if required. All
rooms have colour television,
tea/coffee making facilities,
clock radio, hairdryer and
shoe cleaning kit. The bathrooms
each have a corner bath, shower,
toilet and handbasin and a
selection of luxury toiletries
are provided for your use.
All beds are firm, comfortable
and new and are covered in
beautiful handmade bedspreads,
rooms are decorated and furnished
to the highest standard and
cleaned daily. Children and
pets are welcome. |

BLICKLING
ROOM
Like the stately manor this large room has wonderful views overlooking the garden
and fields. It has a superking size bed for additional comfort for those slightly
taller people. The ensuite has a large corner bath and separate shower cubicle. |
| |
FELBRIGG
ROOM
Although slightly smaller in size this room has a king size bed with ensuite
and is on the ground floor. This room has views looking out onto the West Border
garden and the hen house (no cockerel to waken you too early in the morning). |
| |
OXBURGH ROOM
This room
has views of the
village church and
clock tower.
Similar to
its namesakes,
the room
is decorated
with dark
mahogany
furniture (although not
so large and grand) and
the soft furnishings are
enhanced with a handmade
bedspread over the
kingsize
bed.

The
Lounge is always open for
guests to use. During the
winter months there is an
open fire and in the warmer
months the patio doors are
opened for guests to use the
floodlit patio. A daily newspaper
is also provided and a telephone
is situated in the entrance
hall for guests to use if
required. The bookshelves
are well stocked and there
is a selection of games and
puzzles for guests to borrow
during their stay.
|
| |
|
Smoking is restricted to the Lounge, however we would
ask that smokers be considerate to other guests. |
| |
|
Breakfast
is served in the Dining
Room and we provide a full
English breakfast using
our own freshly laid eggs,
home-made bread and preserves,
locally produced bacon and
sausages. A two course Table
D’hote
evening meal is available
on request. We try to offer
a more intimate ambience
for Dinner using different
table linen, crockery, cutlery
and soft lighting. All meals
are completely homemade and
discussed with guests at
breakfast. Packed lunches
are also provided on request.
We are happy to cater for
vegetarians and those who
have specific dietary requirements.

| The
Ollands is discreetly tucked
away in the centre of this
historic village. The village
is named after the woven woollen
cloth that was originally
made here some 600 years ago.
Nowadays the village is home
to only a few hundred people
and is surrounded by arable
farmland with the Church standing
proudly in the centre with
its clock circa 1850 in perfect
working condition, striking
on each hour. This is only
one of a few of the turret
clocks still working in this
country. |
